Thank you for visiting our website.

I am honored to be the spiritual leader of this congregation, especially at this decisive moment.  We are experiencing a kind of springtime here.  Over the last thirty years, in America, God's name has been used to justify hatred and division and destruction.  For all of those years, our congregation has declined in membership, and has lost its appeal to young adults and families.

Today, our congregation is shaking off its lethargy, and we are publicly re-committing ourselves to compassion, inclusion, sustainability, wellness, and justice.  We are following the clear principles of the Hebrew Bible, Jesus, Paul, the Ancient Church, and the Reformation.  But especially Jesus. 

Here is what we stand for:

YES TO EVERY FAMILY, EVERY HOUSEHOLD.  Divorced.  Racially mixed.  Widowed.  Re-married.  Celibate.  Gay.  Straight.  With kids.  Without kids.  Senior partners.  Foster parents.  Adoptive parents.  We welcome you.  We urge all adults, teens, and parents to be responsible and loving in their choices and actions.  We condemn the physical, emotional, or sexual abuse of any human being.

NO TO POLITICS. We are a religious organization, and not a political party.  We are committed to civil discussion.  We do not support partisanship or political parties.  We work with all civic leaders, of any party, and we pray for them, as we strive to achieve a safer, sustainable, responsible, and just society.

YES TO CREATION. God created the world, and entrusted it to humankind.  Today more than ever, Christians must protect this planet with wise choices, truthful words, and constructive action.  The planet is God's; and we are God's chosen caretakers.
